BLOG - 4 Time Travel to the Past or Future

Hello class, this is our fourth entry. This time, we will write about the past and the future. . Consider the following questions for your post:

  • Where would you like to go? Why?
  • What time in the past/future?
  • Would you like to stay there? Why? Why not?

 Instructions:

Write 200 to 220 words (pay attention to misspellings, grammar errors and vocabulary).
You will also need to write three (3) comments on your classmate’s posts and one (1) on mine (25 words as a minimum). Try to use all the English that you know and what we have learnt in class. DO NOT USE GOOGLE TRANSLATOR TO DO YOUR ENTRY. You will have 48 hours to do it.

Do not forget to include some photographs.

A journey into the future...

I have always dreamt travelling into the future.  It all began with a motion film named "Back to the Future". When I first saw this film I couldn't help wondering how the future might be. I went on and on day-dreaming envisioning new devises for our daily future lives. Spaceship circling over my head. Hailing a flying taxi or playing with a supersonic skateboard.

Later one, my visions changed a bit, as I started to read some of Isaac Asimov’s books (Robot dreams, the complete stories, etc.) Many of my ideas related to the future were shaped around Asimov’s notions. I usually positioned my dreams circa 2025. Which looks extremely awkward today as 2024 is just around the corner.

I never consider staying in the future for a long period. I envisioned myself in a sort of “narrator” stage, viewing the future life from a perspective or a distant angle. Never really involved in the things that might happen there. I love my current life as it is. Undoubtedly you would say…”but there are too many going wrong”. Nonetheless, I have learnt that life is what we make of it and the future will come as it is: the future.

  1. Hi teacher, Thinking about future seems crazy, but really interesting at the same time. I consider that now we are living what we only could imagine when we were kids, IA's, virtual reality, and even apps that we use could consider like "the future" some years ago,

  2. Hi, teacher. I haven't seen 'Back to the Future,' but I think traveling to the future is very interesting. However, I find going to the past even more fascinating.

  5. Hi Teacher, i share your fascination with the future, sparked by "Back to the Future" and inspired by Asimov's works. Observing the future as a narrator is a unique perspective.

  6. omg I read “the complete stories” by Isaac Asimov too (I didn’t finish it;(, I think science fiction wasn’t for me), the view of the future that he has is amazing because he started to write in 1939. In that time he was a pioneer in robotic science fiction.

  8. Hello teacher, how are you?, About the blog, I think that the future is very terrifying, knowing that everything can change, people and the world, from one moment to the next, it scares me. I think the best is observing the future as a narrator haha. :)

  9. What an entertaining blog teacher, I have always been interested in thinking about what the future will be like but I would not like to travel, I prefer to continue living in my time and see how humanity advances

  10. Hello teacher, I find it super interesting that you’ve chosen the future!
Is it really strange that 2025 has been the year I wanted to travel to? Is it like I imagine it?

  11. Hi teacher, I don't often think about whether I would choose the past or future, but it's good to ponder it sometimes

  13. Hi teacher! I loved your blog. Who would have thought that 2025 is so close when it was so far away, if I traveled to the future I wouldn't want to stay long.

  14. hi teacher! Your blog is very good, for my part I don't know if I would really like to go to the future, I would doubt it a little if you give me the possibility, because I would like to be a surprise what happens
